About this site

Secure Forest is a publication/blog I decided to create in April 2026 to host both professional and personal posts on topics I am interested in. The name Secure Forest comes half from my background in Cybersecurity and half from the origin/meaning of my last name. I believe this name, drawn from my profession and identity, could aptly represent a site where I share information about my journey in the field (and some things not related to that journey).

Access all areas

During the early phases of the site, as I slowly release content, I plan on making all content free. As I create content and build a more comprehensive knowledge base with more valuable, technical information, paid tiers may be created.

Fresh content, delivered consistently-ish

Posts will hopefully be written at regular intervals, with the goal of at least one post a month. You can stay up to date by subscribing to the newsletter, getting new content sent straight to your inbox. (When the newsletter is setup of course)

Meet people like you

With a variety of content, you'll hopefully be able to find like-minded people from diverse backgrounds!

About Me

Hello, world! I'm Hayden, a cybersecurity professional with a wide range of knowledge and experience. As I've progressed in my career, I have learned it's important not just to learn about cybersecurity, but to constantly be trying to learn about yourself. Anyone can give advice on how to progress in your field or how to achieve work-life balance, but if you cannot take that information and apply it to yourself, then the knowledge is useless (In my opinion, of course). So, I made this site not just to document the knowledge I acquire about cybersecurity, but also to share the lessons I learn about myself and the things I find interesting to write about. I plan to limit almost every post to a single topic, so it will be easy to find the content you're interested in, but I hope you enjoy it all!
